Church Monuments is the Journal of the Society. It is published annually, the first issue appearing in 1985. Apart from Volume I, which is in two parts, each issue forms a complete volume. The indexes concentrate on the monuments discussed in the Journal and are divided into six sections:

The Newsletter
contains brief articles, Society news and business and other matters of
interest to members. The Church
Monuments Society has issued two Newsletters each year since
1985; each volume contains two issues or numbers.
References to items in the Newsletter
cite the volume and part numbers in bold
followed by page references.
All references in italics
refer to illustrations. Newsletter 8:1 (Summer 1992) was incorrectly
numbered 7:1 on publication.
As the International Society for the
Study of Church Monuments, the Society published eleven Bulletins between 1979 and 1984.
References to these in the index are prefixed B followed by the issue number in bold and page reference(s).
