Southwell Minster
There is free parking for two hours in the car park directly opposite the Minster. Entrance to the Minster is free but there is, rather curiously, a charge of £4-40 for photography.
Nave & Aisles
Foliated cross in niche by the welcome desk. This is unfortunately used as a store for files etc. Directly above & below. Several incised slabs and a brass matrix in the floor of the nave.  Troop Sgt-Mjr William Samuel Sharpe (1838) of the 7th Dragoon Guards. Died in the Punjaub
         
North Transept
Archbishop Sandys (1588) Alabaster. One of the founders of Low Church Anglicanism represented in the robes he disliked

Note: Several Archbishops of York resided at Southwell and some were  buried in the Minster. These were:

Thomas de Corbridge (1304)
William Booth (1464)
Lawrence Booth (1480)
Edywyn Sandys (1588)
The monument of the last of these is shown above; the unamed effigy and some of the crosses and brass matrices may relate to the others.
